With all the new stuff, this is probably the best Intermediate area in Moab.
No, you didn’t need the full-face helmet and pads, but it’s a great place to bring the kids or novice riders. It also makes a great first day ride for newcomers to Moab. The recent trail work here has been top notch and gives us about 30 miles of fun intermediate riding. Deadman’s, Longbranch and Bar B offer stronger riders a great loop. Bar M, EZ Lazy are the best start for novices. The views into Arches are fantastic. You can easily find a few spots to practice wheelie-drops or lifts.
If gramps can see his genitals over his belly, bring him along. Start at the parking area and follow the signs. Killer B is a crazy free-ride run down (from Bar B) or a serious hike-a-bike up (from the bike path). Most folks will do best to omit that section. North 40 offers a little more fun climbing/descending with some great scenery. Directions: From town, head north on Hwy 191, going past Arches Nat’l Park. At about the 11 mile point, take the signed turn RUGHT to Bar M Chuckwagon. Go past the first parking area and park in the lower gravel lot.
