I love Moab and all the fun, quirky folks who live there. In season, Moab is a crazy mix of cyclists, jeepers, climbers, base-jumpers, RV tourists, and cowboys.
Trail development is rampant, the food is good, the beer is weak, and the liquor store is closed on Sunday. The little “town” of 5,000 people has 4 bike shops, a 24 hour supermarket and hundreds of miles of trail. The famous stuff is mostly composed of big rocks, sand, small rocks, huge rocks, and giant slabs of rock. The LaSal mountains offer alpine views and rock-studded dirt trails. If you play your cards right, you can cover 30+ miles with about 7,000 ft. of net descending!
